Fred Miller – Commercial Real Estate Broker

Fred Miller is widely known and deeply respected in the Central Valley commercial real estate community, but what truly sets him apart isn’t just his professional success. It’s his character…

When asked why he does what he does, Fred points first to his parents and his upbringing in the small town of Sebastopol. The son of a hardworking truck driver, Fred credits his parents’ work ethic, integrity, and respect for others as the foundation of his life and career. A photograph of his father and uncles working in the logging industry still hangs in his office today – a daily reminder of where he comes from and the values that guide him.

Fred’s path was anything but linear. After putting himself through college by working nights at a tuna cannery, he earned a degree in economics and eventually found his way into real estate – starting from scratch, learning the Valley one map at a time, long before GPS or cell phones. What began in residential real estate gradually evolved into a successful commercial career, one that brought balance, clarity, and long-term relationships. Over the years, Fred has ranked among the Top 100 RE/MAX Commercial Producers nationally, an exceptional achievement for a broker based in the Central Valley.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Fred’s life story is one of extraordinary resilience. He has survived a near-fatal surfing accident that left him temporarily paralyzed, multiple cancer diagnoses caught early through sheer awareness, and a serious birth injury that never stopped him from competing in athletics or pursuing a full life. Through it all, Fred describes himself as “lucky” and he is blessed.

Today, Fred continues to serve clients with the same discipline and humility that shaped his early years. He’s a strong advocate for SBA 504 financing, recognizing it as a powerful tool that helps business owners move from renting to owning, build stability, and plan for the future with confidence. He values partners who understand the process and move efficiently and he sees firsthand how the right financing can change the trajectory of a business.

Outside of work, Fred enjoys time with his family, gardening, stained glass artistry, hiking, traveling, and classic car excursions through California and beyond. He and his wife have been married for 41 years and are proud parents of three daughters who remain closely bonded, a reflection of the life Fred has intentionally built.

One quote Fred keeps close reads:

“Speak your truth quietly and clearly… Take kindly the counsel of the years.”

It’s a philosophy that mirrors his life: steady, thoughtful, grounded, and generous.

We are grateful to know Fred, to work alongside him, and to call him a trusted partner and friend of Success Capital.
